Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15 ESV).
We are often asked to recommend books on particular subjects within the realm of Christian belief and practice. We hope this page will point people in the right direction.
We want you to know, however, that the Bible is sufficient to make us "complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:17). Everything we need for life and godliness is given to us by God in His Word (2 Peter 1:3). The Bible stands alone, and before any other book, we highly encourage you to read it with intent to know God. Other books can, however, help us better understand the Scriptures and our response to God's commands. Along with making the Scriptures a priority, we recommend several other books in different areas pertaining to spiritual growth.
